To be eligible for Red Cross Lifeguarding Class, students must be at least 15 years of age. Courses are offered here at the
Reynoldsville Pool each summer. The DuBois Area High School offers Red Cross Lifeguarding as an elective, and the DuBois
Red Cross offers a course each spring.
Our pool is always in need of responsible young adults to fill full-time and part-time Lifeguard positions. Many times,
part-time guards are also hired as concession stand workers.
Lifeguarding is a great career opportunity. It provides individuals to develop leadership skills and helps them to learn
responsibilty, sometimes at a very young age. It is also, in most cases, the most "fun" job most people will ever
have.
